Of all the invitations we have received so far this summer, this was one we had to accept. The team at Simple invited us to a preview of their incredible pop-up event – The Power Of Simple in Covent Garden. It did not disappoint. Here’s our take.
Taking place last weekend, The Power of Simple Experience was in essence a deep dive into all things skin, including a very exciting new launch. We learnt that if you’re looking to discover the secret to transformative skin you need to look no further than Simple.
The venue for the event was The Stables, Covent Garden. From the second we stepped into the experience we were immersed in a world of skincare knowledge that left us feeling inspired and informed.
Our journey began with a complimentary skin juice to fuel us from within. A quick scan of The Message Board and we were be able to tailor our experience. There was a pick and mix of activity from interactive information to complimentary treatments, as well as goodies.
“I may not have been at Glastonbury last weekend, but the Simple pop-up was the next best thing. On-demand facials, expert skin analysis and a first look at some brilliant new beauty products all in the heart of buzzy Covent Garden. I can guarantee skin far glowier than anyone who's been at Worthy farm.” Grazia Health & Beauty Director Verity Clarke
In The Simple Lab, we were get educated on skincare - with screens showing bitesize tutorials and demos, we quickly became our very own skin gurus. We were able to try Simple’s skincare portfolio for ourselves and ask advice from a Derm. It was very impressive, and it showed that with Simple you will find all the products you need for dreamy skin.
Some of our favourites include hero products like Simple’s range of Booster serums. These wonders contain the brand’s highest concentration of skin-nourishing active ingredients. And we were introduced to Simple’s latest skincare launch The Ceramide Boosters & Omega Complex Booster Serum.
Using Simple’s patented Ceramide Booster technology this launch is a game changer. Ceramides are all about helping the skin retain moisture, they also protect it from external stressors, dryness, and infections. But how does Simple’s Ceramide Booster technology work? Ceramides themselves are very large molecules that can't penetrate the outer layer of the skin, so they sit at the surface, Simple’s ceramide booster technology is much smaller and boosts your skins own production of ceramides allowing you to replenish your skin from within. You’ll find this clever technology in Simple’s Active Skin Barrier Care range, which includes cleansers, moisturisers and the new serum. This is skincare endorsed by dermatologists, and we know you will love it, plus the new Ceramide Boosters & Omega Complex Booster Serum is available to shop now.
On with the tour. The Skincare Studio in partnership with Renude was the ultimate place to relax. Here we enjoyed an express facial with a professional aesthetician. With bespoke product recommendations tailored to our skins needs following an AI skin consultation, we walked away having created our perfect Simple three-step skincare routine. You can truly level up your skin care game with Simple.
It is a given that Simple know all about great skin and how to achieve it, it’s no wonder their products remain best-sellers across the country. At the event we found content created by skin professionals, including Dr Ifeoma Ejikeme, recently voted the Best Aesthetic Doctor in the U.K. for 2024 and Dr Beibei Du-Harpur a London-based dermatologist and skin researcher. We could select our skin concerns on the interactive screens and get their advice.
“The Simple pop-up was just perfect for beauty buffs eager to dive into the science of skincare. There was expert advice from industry leaders like Dr. Ifeoma Ejikeme and Dr. Beibei Du-Harpur, as well as an AI-powered skincare analysis station that recommended products specific to your own unique skin type. We even got to indulge in an express barrier boosting facial too.” Grazia Jnr Beauty Editor Rachael Martin
There were Panel Talks too, on Saturday 29th, Tess Daly chatted to journalist and industry expert Cassie Steer and Influencer Patricia Bright . Then On Sunday 30th, Journalist Keeks Reed hosted skin expert Dr Beibei Du-Harpur and Skinfluencer Natalie O’Neill.
"Fab facials, bespoke skincare consultations and the chance to preview some glow-giving new products - there was a LOT to love about Simple's Covent Garden pop-up. If you missed it, don't worry - you can still get your hands on the latest launches, including the Ceramide Boosters & Omega Complex Serum - a smart formulation that leaves skin feeling summer fresh." Grazia Head of Beauty Joely Walker
We completed our visit by dropping into the Superdrug Store. And to mark the event we had a quick selfie in The Power Booth. It was a great day, especially for our skin. Find out how Simple can transform your skincare.
