She holds a BA in History from the University of Kent and an MA in International Journalism from City, University of London.
Afia's journey into media began early - she launched her first YouTube show, The LOL Show, at the age of 10 (if only she'd stuck with it, eh?). The media bug never left as Afia later joined the UK's first under-25-led news team, London360 at 18. She then went on to work in radio at the BBC across their youth networks (BBC Radio 1, 1Xtra and The Asian Network).
Spending almost a decade freelancing, Afia has built up a varied portfolio: interviewing for Dose of Society, hosting radio shows and reporting at some of the UK's largest music festivals.
By day, she's interviewing all of your favourite celebs. By night, she runs @DontPopThatSpot - an online and IRL hub for acne prone huns.
