Sarah Jessica Parker will be forever associated with Carrie Bradshaw - from her shoe line, to her dresses on the red carpet, she's constantly compared to the Sex and the City character. But in an interview with E! Online, SJP has detailed how she differs from the fictional woman she played for ten years - and how they're alike.
"I think in many ways I'm like Carrie because I would much prefer to be interviewing you, for instance. I'm very curious about other people, and that's why I like the subway. Because I can just watch people," SJP explained.
"And that's why I like cities. And I love this city, and I have a fondness that is kind of hard to explain to people, so I can relate to that."
But in terms of her actual lifestyle, Sarah Jessica Parker believes she is very different from the iconic character - right down to that famous obsession with clothes and shoes: "I think there's not a lot about Carrie that is actually similar to my life. Our choices have been so radically different. There are certain kinds of pillars that fundamentally are different," she added. "I like clothing, but I don't have anywhere near a fevered relationship that she does."
SJP also referenced that infamous quote where Carrie declares she would give up dinner in order to buy Vogue - because it "fed me more".
"No. No, I would never give up food. Ever."
So now you know - Carrie was all about the cabs and mags, while the SJP is a big fan of good food and the tube.
