Finally, we have a name. According to the birth certificate obtained by TMZ, Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes have given their daughter a name fit for a (Disney) princess - Esmeralda Amada Gosling. Ryan Gosling, A Hunchback of Notre Dame fan? Eva has a history with the name as she played Armada in her film We Own the Night.

Eva's brother told In Touch Weekly: "They're great parents. Ryan's going to be a great father. He's just such a down-to-earth, nice guy. You couldn't ask for anything better."

Eva and Ryan started dating back in 2011 and now it's been confirmed they're expecting the arrival of their little one later this year. It's talk show host Ellen Degeneres who broke the news. Taking to Twitter to congratulate the couple last night.

Eva's rumoured to be seven months pregnant and a source close to the couple says she's excited to become a mum: 'She's been ready for motherhood for a while now and to be sharing this experience with Ryan is a dream come true for her!'

While the 40-year-old actress has never been keen on marriage, the source adds that things are different with Ryan: 'She's very independent but she's content with her partner. She finally found the person she really wants to be with.'

The couple played parents in movie Place Beyond The Pines - and while we're hoping their future is nothing like that movie - we reckon Ryan's going to be a great dad. He's cute enough when he's looking after animals....

She hasn't been seen out in public since March and didn't make an appearance at the Cannes International Film Festival in May. There was speculation she was pregnant in February when she refused to go through airport security scanners.

'It's so ridiculous. Because it all started because I was didn't want to go through the scanners at the airport,' she said at the time. 'You know those x-ray scanners, which are really creepy. They basically see you naked, right. And not only that, but there's a radiation aspect to it, so I always opt out. I always ask for a personal pat down.'
