David Walliams and Lara Stone Have ‘Finalised Their Divorce’

David Walliams and Lara Stone have finalised their divorce, according to reports.

Apparently the comedian ended his marriage to model Lara Stone in a court hearing that lasted just 60 seconds. The Daily Mailare reporting that the couple were granted a decree nisi, which means their marriage will be officially dissolved in six weeks.

However, Lara and David have not commented on the news, or responded to requests for comment.

It was reported yesterday that the pair were applying to end their five year marriage, after splitting in March.

David Walliams and Lara Stone are set to finalise their separation today in court, according to reports in The Mirror.

According to the paper, Lara and David will appear before a judge at London's Central Family Court after applying to end their five year marriage. If the "decree nisi" is approved by the judge, the divorce could be granted to the couple in six weeks.

The pair split in March, with Lara reportedly moving out of the couple's home with their two-year-old son Alfred and dog Bertie.

David and Lara began dating in 2009, marrying a year afterwards in a glamorous wedding at Claridge's in May 2010.

We had hoped that Lara Stone and David Walliams could work things out, but it seems that it's all over for good.

According to reports the 31-year-old model is set to serve David with divorce papers next month, with the intention of ending their five year marriage.

The Daily Mirrorreports that Lara has told friends she is 'never going back' and wants to make the split official.

A source told the paper: 'Lara has no intention of returning and will sign her divorce papers soon. She has been telling people she is never going back. As far as she is concerned the marriage is finished. 'They’re both devastated that they haven’t been able to make it work.'

Lara has been living with friends since leaving the couple's North London home - with their two-year-old son Alfred and their beloved dog Bert.

The reports say that David's friends have been rallying around the comedian in the wake of the split.

The unlikely couple got together in 2009 but then earlier this month news the pair had agreed to a trial separation emerged.

The Britain's Got Talent judge was said to be 'devastated'.

At the time of the split Lara and David hadn't been seen together in months.

A source close to the 43-year-old comedian told The Sun newspaper: 'David has been putting on a brave face. But people close to him are very worried because they know he's devastated.'

'David is used to hiding his emotions with comedy because that's what he's always done. But on the inside it is a real wrench.'

Dutch model Lara and David married in May 2010 after just a year of dating.

It was recently claimed that the blonde beauty had declined pint sized pop brat Justin Bieber's request to go on a date, while shooting their most recent ad campaign for Calvin Klein.

A source previously said: 'While they were doing the whole Calvin Klein ad, Justin was very forward and asked Lara on a date. He made it look like a joke at first, but then tried to put in the charm.

'It didn't work though as she respectfully declined since she is married. Surprisingly, it didn't get awkward and the shoot went on with out incident.'

Throughout his career David has been dogged by rumours surrounding his sexuality. He has previously been quoted as saying he had 'gay experiences as a child', and but said that just because he is known for portraying effeminate characters, it doesn't mean he is homosexual.

He explained: 'I've always been effeminate, and I think people confuse effeminacy with homosexuality, like they go hand-in-hand.'

The actor and comedian also revealed that he has battled with depression and suicidal thoughts in the past. In an interview in 2009 David revealed that he hated being on his own and said: 'When I am with my own thoughts I start to unravel myself and I start to think really dark thoughts.'

Lara has had her own demons too. In 2009 the model checked herself into rehab battling alcoholism. After getting sober the model spoke out about her previous dependency on drink the following year in an interview and said: 'The drinking was getting way out of control. I just didn't recognise myself any more. I didn't know what I was doing or where I was.'

'I always had to have some drinks with me in my bag. Just waking up shaking and then having Bloody Marys on your own, first thing.'
