An exciting day for beauty lovers everywhere - industry darling and international makeup artist supreme Lisa Eldridge has been snapped up by Lancome as their new Makeup Creative Director. Loved by designers for her ability to conjure up masterful editorial looks (and the best skin), and women everywhere for her personable, chatty and easy-to-follow YouTube tutorials, Lisa straddles perfectly both markets and is an exciting choice for the brand and us.
What you might not know is that over 20 years ago, Lisa worked on the Lancome counter in Harrods, so her love affair with the brand has certainly been a long one. Lisa's famously light touch means that her makeup is absolutely always youthful, fresh, and very believable. Plus, we love Lisa's commitment to translating her catwalk looks into something everyone can try - her emphasis in her videos is always on making a look your own and feeling fabulous in your own skin.

Of her new role Lisa says “It’s an honour to be named Make-up Creative Director at Lancôme, a brand with an incredible heritage, impeccable style and genuine integrity. We are designing a brand new Paris Make-Up Atelier and I can’t wait to start creating new collections, shades and products, as well as posting the amazing on-line content we have in mind. This truly is an exciting new adventure!”
We're not ashamed to admit that we've lost more than a handful of evenings to watching Lisa's very detailed but never intimidating videos - she always breaks each part of the look down into a few, easy steps and gives plenty of choice with products and tools. Lancome are going to harness this - in a statement from the brand, they said that Lisa will "craft application gesture techniques and tutorials designed to make women’s lives easier" for them. We're secretly hoping this means more videos or gif guides.
Finally, Lisa does tutorials for real life dilemmas too. Unsure what makeup to wear to meet an ex-boyfriend? Lisa can tell you! Check out some of our favourites below...
