Like It Or Not, Justin Bieber Has Become ‘Fashion’

When it comes to fashion, Justin Bieber is hardly a traditional crowd-pleaser like Olivia Palermo. Weird clothes are his thing. When we say weird, we mean weird. He's worn sequin hareem pants, purple leopard print, 3D purple glasses (outside of the cinema), gold gloves and a GAS MASK.

Whatever you may think of his unfaltering commitment to white leather, he's become 'fashion' thanks to his campaign with Calvin Klein. This week we also found out what Karl Lagerfeld and Justin Bieber were up to. Karl photographed and interviewed Justin for V Magazine, shooting him topless.

So how did he transition from the 15-year-old in a purple hoodie to the Marky-Mark of the YouTube generation? 
“Fashion is very important to me," Bieber told WWD. "It is a very influential form of self-expression, the same way music is for me. I strive to remain ahead of the curve with my fashion choices and am very grateful that the fashion world has embraced me in the way it has.”

Like all good millennial pop stars, Justin has already had a go at designing. He has made his own nail polish with OPI, he has had seven fragrances and has starred in a campaign for Adidas.

Last New York Fashion Week Justin Bieber stripped down to his Calvins during Fashion Rocks, and we can expect more of the same. 
“I love attending fashion shows and being a part of fashion week, and I definitely hope to continue to have the opportunity to do so moving forward.”

Like it or not, we're set to see a lot of Justin Bieber at fashion week as he is part of the new it crowd taking over the industry. Fashion month darlings Kendall Jenner, Gigi Hadid and Hailee Baldwin make regular cameos on his Instagram page.
