The Golden Globes is traditionally the most fashionable red carpet of awards season, and this year was no disappointment.
Leading the best dressed pack we have Emma Stone who, never one to wear a nude fishtail, rocked a Lanvin jumpsuit with an embellished strapless bodice, back ankle-grazing trousers and a bow cascading from a sash around the waist. In the words of Beyonce it was quite simply flaw-less. She wasn't the only one to go for trousers over a gown, as Lorde wore a custom black Narcisco Rodriguez tuxedo with a black crop top underneath.

Julianne Moore will also be gracing best dressed lists throughout the land, thanks to her spectacular Givenchy gown drenched in silver sequins leading to a dramatic feathered black hem.
The Brits were also doing good things on the red carpet. Let's start with Mr Eddie Redmayne who looked dreamy in a blue velvet tux. Sienna Miller continued her comeback tour in a plunging Miu Miu gown, while Felicity Jones kept it demure in a teal full-skirted Christian Dior gown.

Then we come to the looks which are dividing opinion. Amal Clooney made her Awards Season debut in a black Dior Haute Couture gown with one shoulder strap leading to a flowing sash. Her styling screamed Hollywood, with drop diamond Harry Winston earrings, red lipstick and white satin gloves (which are her own).
Keira Knightley's look was receiving mixed reviews on Twitter. She wore a Chanel gown with an appliqued bug print, three tiers of ruffles at the hem, a ruffled collar and a black band at the waist. She revealed on the red carpet that it took 33 people from Chanel a week to make the gown.

Elsewhere on the red carpet we have Jennifer Aniston in - you guessed it - black. She wore a black Saint Laurent gown with a slit on the skirt and sequin halter neck bodice. From one Jennifer to another, J.LO did what Jennifer Lopez does best in a Zuhair Murad cape-meets-dress.

The Golden Globes was a rather British affair this year, as Boyhood won Best Picture, Eddie Redmayne won Best Actor and the Brit girls won hearts on the red carpet. But it was also a big night for some British designers - Kerry Washington opted for Mary Katrantzou and Diane Kruger wore London-based Emilia Wickstead.
