In our opinion, it's one of Hollywood's great mysteries that there have been EIGHT Fast and Furious films, but the follow up novel of The Devil Wears Prada has never made it to the big screen. The internet is taking a well-deserved break from SATC3 reunion talk, turning to Runway magazine. It has been nine years since we met Miranda Priestly, and although there are no* official* plans for a sequel, some of the main characters are on board.
There are so many great things about the original - Meryl's icy glare... the beautiful Christian Thompson... the jarlsberg sandwiches. But it was Emily Blunt and her one-liners who made it. What would* The Devil Wears Prada* have been without phrases such as: "I'm sorry, do you have some prior commitment? Some hideous skirt convention you have to go to?" Or "Well, I don't eat anything and when I feel like I'm about to faint I eat a cube of cheese."
Well good news is Emily is keen to return to the halls of Runway. Emily said to E! News this week: "I would do it, but only if everyone did it. I don't know why it hasn't been done, but everyone's got to do it." Earlier this year Anne Hathaway, who played Andy Sacks, said to Graham Norton about a potential reunion: "Wouldn't that be fun? I'd love to do that." Now all we need is Meryl.
But if we've learnt anything from years SATC3 hysteria, one or two keen actresses does not a sequel make. So for now, as Miranda would say, that's all.
