It's the world's first glimpse at Angelina's divine wedding dress. It's just as classic as we imagined and no surprises for guessing it's by Atelier Versace, featuring a ruched bodice that nips in at the waist - but it's that full and cascading skirt which really has us gasping. The 39-year-old actress polished off the look with her hair swept back in a bun and adorned with a hand-printed veil covered with artwork by her and Brad's children. The sketches include pictures of the youngsters as well as the Eiffel Tower, zebras, a drum kit and words including "dad" and "mom", but one of their cheeky clan had scribbled "buffock futtock" on the gown.
We now know the white gown was designed by Donatella Versace and was embroidered by the brand’s master tailor, Luigi Massi. “Luigi is like family to me and I couldn’t imagine anyone else making this dress,” Angelina said. “He knows and cares for the children and it was great fun putting it together.” Meanwhile, jeweller Robert Procop had the enviable task of designing the bride's stunning wedding band, an estimated 16-carat, emerald-cut diamond worth around $500,000 after he did such a great job creating her $250,000 diamond engagement ring.
Versace sent one of the best emails to land in our inbox, ever - a sketch of Angelina's dress. In the release they write that Angelina also wore a pair of white Versace satin pumps to match her white silk-satin Versace gown.
The wedding took place on August 23rd in the chapel at the family’s estate Chateau Miraval in the French village of Correns. “It was important to us that the day was relaxed and full of laughter,” the couple told the mag in a joint statement. “It was such a special day to share with our children and a very happy time for our family.” An insider said: "It was a lovely, happy day with lots of laughter and meaning that the entire family will remember for the rest of their lives." Oh, how we swoon.
